Rehabilitation Observership, Training & Volunteer Opportunities
NYU Langone’s Rusk Rehabilitation offers international physician observership, training, and volunteer opportunities to eligible candidates who want to explore careers in healthcare professions.
Our Physician Observership Program is designed for rehabilitation physicians from all over the world who are seeking to enhance their training and experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Observers will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the observership; however, this program does not award educational credits. Our program hosts international physicians, residents in accredited physical medicine and rehabilitation programs in their country, and practicing physiatrists. We cannot accommodate international medical students.
For more information about the program, please contact Kirsten Horvath at Kirsten.Horvath@NYULangone.org.
We also offer a Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Observation and Volunteer Opportunities Program for students who plan to apply to graduate programs and need to complete between 100 and 120 observation hours as part of their admissions requirements. These are non-compensated positions that enable students to shadow rehabilitation specialists for educational purposes. To apply, please complete the application form and return it along with a reference letter via email to Rusk.Info@NYULangone.org.
We also encourage students who are interested in exploring careers in healthcare professions to learn more about our Health Career Opportunity Program.
