RESEARCH INTERESTS:

  1. Understanding the molecular mechanisms that contribute to the transition from acute to chronic pain and those that contribute to the recovery of acute pain following a peripheral nerve injury.
  2. Neurogenesis in the adult spinal cord and the role of endocannabinoids.
  3. Sialidation action on ion channel function, neuronal excitability and animal behavior.
