Translational Immunology Center

We study the immune system to better understand and treat human diseases.

The Translational Immunology Center at NYU Langone Health brings together faculty who conduct research in immunology across departments including the Departments of Pathology, Medicine, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Neurology, and Surgery.

Our mission is to build on the breadth of our immunology research and the strengths of our clinical enterprise to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and facilitate translational studies of human diseases—such as infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer—and identify novel treatments.

We coordinate immunology-related research efforts across NYU Langone and integrate them with clinical centers and programs such as Perlmutter Cancer Center’s Tumor Immunology Research Program, the Judith and Stewart Colton Center for Autoimmunity, the Vaccine Center, NYU Langone Transplant Institute, and the Department of Pathology’s Ion Channels and Transporters in Immunity Research Program.
