Past research focused on respiratory tract tissue exposure to airborne contaminants. Recent studies include the comparative dosimetry of inhaled cigarette smoke in humans and rodents; the use of naturallly inhaled radioactive nuclides to estimate past and current exposure to cigarette smoke; and methods of measuring exposure to nanoparticles.
