Summary

My research focuses on improving the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV, particularly among LGBTQ+ individuals and other underserved populations. Through my work with the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, I have contributed to national STI treatment guidelines, analyzed national STI trends, and supported health departments in strengthening surveillance systems and care delivery. My ongoing work integrates public health research, surveillance, and clinical care to identify gaps in STI prevention and screening and translate evidence into improved practice and policy. More broadly, I am interested in how public health systems and implementation strategies can translate evidence into more equitable and effective clinical care.
