The HELP Project

The Health Education and Literacy for Parents (HELP) Project is designed to support the health literacy needs of parents through short term educational interventions in pediatric waiting rooms. Staff and trained volunteers conduct activities that address health information that is relevant to parents, either one-on-one or in small groups.

Trained volunteers substantially increase the program’s impact in terms of the number of families they reach and the knowledge and skills they gain.
