Health, Retirement, & Paid Time Off

Full medical/dental benefits provided through 1199 Union. All RNs are eligible to participate in a voluntary tax-deferred (403b) program. An excellent vacation/holiday and sick leave package is also provided.

Educational Benefits

Our focus on learning carries over to our educational benefits After 6 months employment full time employees are entitled to tuition reimbursement, registration, and lab fees; after one year for part-timers. (Federal regulations requiring taxation of education benefits applied to tuition reimbursements.) Staff employed in temporary positions are not eligible for tuition assistance. No work/payback agreement is required.

NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases is a member of 1199.Employees are also entitled to tuition coverage under 1199/SEIU RN Training & Job Security Fund (there are no out of pocket expense for those courses).
