Institute for Computational Medicine Openings for Principal Investigators
NYU School of Medicine is hiring tenure-track assistant and associate professors for the new Institute for Computational Medicine.
Directed by Itai Yanai, PhD, the institute is a hub for computational approaches to medical challenges through basic science. It focuses on research in cancer biology, host–pathogen interactions, adaptive immunity, and population health.
Translational research opportunities in these disciplines require integrating large and diverse data sets and modeling complex biological systems. The institute occupies new wet and dry laboratories designed to foster collaborative and innovative research.
We seek colleagues with research programs focused on several topics:
- big data analytics
- systems biology
- clinical informatics
- evolutionary systems
- microbiome research
- cancer biology
- large-scale data integration
A successful candidate earns a primary appointment in a relevant NYU Langone Health department and can participate in one or more graduate programs.
Principal investigators are expected to lead their own research and foster collaborations at NYU Langone.
Qualifications and Application
A PhD in biological sciences is required for application.
