This site brings together many links on bacteria, bacteriology, and related topics available on the web. It also provides crystal-clear information about many aspects of bacteria. If you're unfamiliar with the subject, here's a start: Bacteria are living things that are neither plants nor animals, but belong to a group all by themselves. They are very small and they can multiply really fast. There are many links to pictures, video's, and explanatory text; you are presented with a synopsis of the diverse world of bacteria, you learn that not all bacteria are harmful, how they are used in industry, and they belong to the oldest living creatures on Earth.

Science Friday of NPR's Talk of the Nation (logo)

Science Friday is a weekly science talk show, broadcast live over public radio stations nationwide from 2-4pm Eastern time as part of NPR's 'Talk of the Nation' programming. Each week, it focuses on science topics that are in the news and try to bring an educated, balanced discussion to bear on the scientific issues at hand. Panels of expert guests join Science Friday's host, Ira Flatow, a veteran science journalist, to discuss science - and to take questions from listeners during the call-in portion of the program.
