Outpatient

Residents have one to two half-day continuity clinics for the three years they are in the program. Clinics are held at Bellevue Hospital Center and the VA Medical Center. Each resident is assigned their own spacious, attractive examining room. Our clinic building at Bellevue Hospital, designed by I.M.Pei contains state-of-the-art amenities for the care providers and patients. Neurology attendings are supervising each clinic. Nursing and clerical staff assist the resident staff in providing courteous and expeditious care.

We also have a pediatric outpatient neurology clinic where pediatric, child neurology and adult neurology residents care for children with neurological disorders.

Residents rotate through the faculty practice subspecialty clinics. This allows our residents a broad exposure to the practice of neurological subspecialties including:

  • behavioral neurology
  • deep brain stimulation
  • dysautonomia center
  • EMG
  • epilepsy
  • headache
  • movement disorders/Botox clinic
  • multidisciplinary/interventional pain medicine
  • multiple sclerosis
  • neurofibromatosis
  • neuromuscular/muscular dystrophy
  • neuro-oncology
  • neuro-ophthalmology
  • neuro-otology
  • pediatric neurology
  • sleep medicine
  • vascular neurology

There is an Ambulatory Urgent Care rotation in which residents see urgent new consults. This is supervised by our General Neurology faculty.
