Comparative Effectiveness and Implementation Research Training Program Mentorship

The CEIRT Program emphasizes the value of applying classroom learning through an in-depth, mentored research initiative. All MSCI-CEIR students are matched with a primary Comparative Effectiveness Research mentor and will have a mentoring committee. We mentor our students in multiple domains, including technical research advice, teaching, professional and personal guidance, sponsorship, role-modeling, career crafting, and socialization into the profession. Scholars and mentors are expected to meet at least twice per month to discuss research, readings and complementary education. In addition, students meet once a semester with their mentorship committee to review their progress towards program milestones and research goals.
