About Us

The Bellevue/NYU Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic (BNOEMC) is one of eight regional occupational health centers established by the New York State Department of Health Occupational Health Clinic Network, New York State Network of Occupational Health Clinics . The primary mission of the BNOEMC is to provide the highest quality clinical and preventive occupational and environmental medicine services to those workers in New York City who are at high risk for work-related diseases and most in need of these services, regardless of ability to pay. The clinic does medical evaluations, industrial hygiene workplace environmental evaluations, and occupational health education programs for employees and employers.

The clinic is affiliated with NYC Health and Hospitals, Bellevue Hospital Center, NYU School of Medicine, and NYU Langone Medical Center and is the only publicly accessible Occupational and Environmental Medicine clinic in the New York City public hospital system. In addition to the clinical program, we are developing occupational medicine research and educational programs. Bellevue accepts most medical insurance and (in appropriate cases) Workers' Compensation, and has a sliding fee scale for others. We speak English, Spanish, Chinese, Italian and French and many other languages are available through medical interpreters.

The Clinic is associated with the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence at NYU School of Medicine that provides medical monitoring and treatment for responders at the WTC and related sites in New York City.
