Health Disparities Symposium

Sonia Angell, MD (left), and Donna Lieberman, JD

Join us on Thursday, October 12, 2017, for our Third Annual Health Disparities Symposium, co-sponsored by NYU Langone Health’s NYU-Health + Hospitals Clinical and Translational Science Institute, the Department of Population Health, and NYU School of Medicine Office of Diversity Affairs.

Focusing on pressing topics including immigration, incarceration, transgender health, and advocacy, the symposium will include a series of short, engaging talks on current health disparities research and programs, a panel discussion on controversies in population health, and a poster session and awards ceremony.

The objectives of the Health Disparities Symposium are to:

  • Increase awareness of the broad range of health disparities research taking place across NYU and NYC Health + Hospitals
  • Facilitate connections, build networks, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations for health disparities research among faculty, staff, students, clinicians, and community partners
  • Provide a forum through which students can learn of opportunities for research involvement

The event will take place in Farkas Auditorium, 550 First Avenue in NYU Langone Health’s Tisch Hospital. Register for the event.
