Led by Richard S. Matulewicz, MD, our lab strives to improve how urologic cancers are diagnosed and treated through a combination of health services research, comparative effectiveness, and implementation science approaches.
The two main focuses of our research are detecting and evaluating hematuria—the presence of blood in the urine—and its relation to the diagnosis of urologic cancers, and improving the ways in which physicians treat tobacco use, particularly among survivors of urologic cancers.
