Scientific Training Enhancement Program
A partnership between NYU and NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the Scientific Training Enhancement Program (NYU-STEP) is one of 17 programs sponsored by the National Institutes of Health through a Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training grant to enrich career training for postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. As a scientist in our program, you identify career goals and develop skills that help you better understand and navigate the competitive job market.
The program consists of three phases: career planning and exploration, developing professional skills and career-specific skills, and job search and career transition. Postdocs and graduate students work closely with faculty scientists from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and NYU, benefitting from the career-planning strengths and resources of the entire university.
Our collaborative NYU-STEP program is co-directed by Keith Micoli at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Carol Shoshkes Reiss at NYU. Postdocs interested in participating in NYU-STEP should contact Dr. Micoli.
