Cellular & Molecular Biology PhD Training Program

NYU School of Medicine’s Cellular and Molecular Biology PhD Training Program at Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences prepares doctoral students for careers in biochemistry, genetics, immunology, and molecular cell biology.
Students enrolled in our program receive intensive training in the highly specialized structures and functions of cells and subcellular organelles, as well as the mechanisms that regulate essential processes of cell metabolism, differentiation, and growth throughout the life cycle.
Our program offers comprehensive study in a number of related areas:
- cellular and molecular biology
- stem cell biology
- cancer biology
- signal transduction mechanisms
- regulation of gene expression
- developmental genetics
- molecular pathogenesis
- cellular and molecular neurobiology
