The Immunology and Inflammation PhD Training Program at NYU School of Medicine’s Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences trains future scientists to address the challenges of treating infectious and autoimmune diseases and serious inflammatory conditions. The immune system detects and defends against invaders such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Although scientists have made remarkable discoveries in the field, great challenges remain.

The training you receive in our immunology and inflammation program equips you to undertake those challenges. Our program provides a strong foundation in the scientific method and a deep understanding of molecular immunology. Coursework, seminars, and research experience provide you with the knowledge, skills, experience, and confidence you need to launch your career.
