Clinical training is obtained through The NYU Langone Female Pelvic Medicine Center and Tisch Hospital of the NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC). The NYULMC Center for Female Pelvic Medicine is the primary outpatient facility for the FPMRS fellowship. This newly renovated center is a space dedicated to the care of female patients. Clinical resources at the Center include 24/7 access to the 3,000 square foot clinical facility with 4 exam rooms, one procedure room, two consultation rooms and a video-urodynamics lab which includes flouroscopy. Office based procedures are commonly performed in the FPMRS outpatient facility including cystoscopy, urethral bulking agent injection, Botulinum toxin injection, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation and percutaneous sacral nerve modulation. Fellows also have an office with appropriate workspace and computer access to all patient medical records (inpatient and outpatient) through the EPIC EMR system.

Tisch Hospital serves as the main inpatient facility for NYULMC. Tisch Hospital has 704 inpatient beds. There are no specific beds assigned to FPMRS, rather those patients are generally housed post-operatively on the urology and gynecology ward. This ward includes a four-bedded post-operative unit with continuous monitoring and a nurse assigned to the unit continuously. In addition, a surgical critical care unit at Tisch Hospital is available to FPMRS patients, if necessary. Board-certified critical care specialists who monitor patients closely and aid in treatment decisions, procedures, etc staff the critical care unit. All major medical and surgical subspecialty consultative services are available at Tisch hospital including colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, rehabilitative medicine, physical therapy, urology, gynecology, medical and surgical oncology. The eight FPMRS faculty at Tisch hospital who perform female pelvic reconstructive surgery operate on each days of the workweek. There are three operating room areas that FPMRS faculty utilize including the Main Operating Room, the Same Day Surgical Center and the Minimally Invasive Urology Unit. Two DaVinci robots are available in the Minimally Invasive Urology Unit for FPMRS procedures as well as a third robot for gynecology faculty in the same day surgery unit.

There is a FPMRS outpatient clinic that is run by residents and fellows with faculty supervision one day/week. State-of-the-art critical care units house surgical ICU patients and post-operative patients, both of which are available to FPMRS patients. The critical care units are supervised by anesthesia and critical care attendings as well as both anesthesia and surgical house staff. All major medical and surgical subspecialty consultative services are available at Bellevue Hospital including colorectal surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, rehabilitative medicine, physical therapy, gynecology, medical and surgical oncology.
