Benjamin Brucker, MD

Benjamin Brucker, MD is Assistant Professor of Urology at NYU Langone Medical Center and is a recent graduate of the NYU FPMRS fellowship program. Dr. Brucker completed his medical education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and remained there for his urology residency training. He then completed his fellowship in FPMRS at NYU Langone Medical Center where he currently serves as faculty. Dr. Brucker has a particular interest in neurourology and bladder dysfunction associated with multiple sclerosis. He is currently the Director of Neurourology at NYU Langone MS Care Center. His other interests include disorders of the female pelvic floor including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, robotic approaches to pelvic organ prolapse repair and voiding dysfunction.

Dr. Brucker has authored several peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on the topics of urodynamics, prostate disease, surgical therapy for incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He served as an Associate Editor of the book entitled Vaginal Surgery for the Urologist. He is currently a member of the American Urological Association and the Society for Urodynamic, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction as well as the American Urogynecology Society.

 

Kimberly Ferrante, MD, MAS

Kimberly Ferrante, MD, MAS is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center and also serves as an Associate Program Director for the OB/GYN residency. Dr. Ferrante received her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She attended New York University for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). While in San Diego she also received her Masters Degree in Clinical Research from the same institution. Dr. Ferrante treats conditions affecting the pelvic floor such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, painful bladder syndrome and accidental bowel leakage. Her research interests include surgical outcomes and recurrent urinary tract infections. She is currently a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Urogynecologic Society, the Society for Urodynamic, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction, as well as the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists

 

Nirit Rosenblum, MD

Nirit Rosenblum, MD is an Associate Professor of Urology & Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Rosenblum completed her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine followed by urology residency training at NYU Medical Center. She then pursued fellowship training at UCLA Medical Center in female urology, urodynamics and pelvic reconstructive surgery under Dr. Shlomo Raz. Dr. Rosenblum joined the NYU urology faculty in 2002 and has been involved in training FPMRS fellows since that time. She has also been involved at Bellevue Hospital Center in caring for female patients with pelvic floor disorders and urinary incontinence as well as both male and female patients with neurological disorders necessitating long-term urologic care.

Dr. Rosenblum has developed the NYU Langone FPMRS minimally invasive approach to pelvic organ repair utilizing the Da Vinci Robot system since 2005. She trains FPMRS fellows in robotic techniques for pelvic organ prolapse repair.  She has an interest in uterine-sparing techniques for pelvic organ prolapse repair in select patients.  Dr. Rosenblum has interests in pelvic organ prolapse repair, incontinence treatments, female sexual dysfunction and lower urinary tract symptoms as well as recurrent urinary tract infections in women at all ages. She employs a comprehensive approach to female pelvic medicine encompassing medical, surgical and holistic treatment options.  Dr. Rosenblum often collaborates with physical therapy, colorectal surgery, gastrointestinal specialists and pain management. 
Dr. Rosenblum has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and contributed several book chapters within female pelvic medicine. She also served as associate editor of the book entitled Vaginal Surgery for the Urologist.  She is an active member of the American Urological Association (AUA), the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU), The American Urogynecologic Society and the Society for Women in Urology. She has been an active faculty instructor for several years at the AUA annual meeting.  She serves as a member of the executive committee of SUFU since 2016. 

 

Scott Smilen, MD

Scott Smilen, MD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center and serves as the residency director for the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU. Dr. Smilen completed his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine where he also pursued his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He then completed a fellowship in Urogynecology at NYU under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Porges. He has a busy clinical practice at NYU Langone Center for Female Pelvic Medicine as well as at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.

Dr. Smilen is an active member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the American Urogynecologic Society.
