Pre-Sedation Assessment Anesthesia Consultation – required if:
Patient falls within ASA classification 4 or greater.
Mallampati class 4 airway or
- Poor mouth opening
- Reduced thyromental distance
History of adverse reaction to sedation or general anesthesia.
Known respiratory/hemodynamic compromise.
Significant co-morbid conditions/ sleep apnea.
