Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine
I graduated from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in 2013 and completed my Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2016, where I also served as the Quality Improvement Chief Medical Resident. During this time, I developed a strong interest in medical education and quality improvement, which I have continued to pursue during my fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, beginning in 2017.
Currently, I spend my clinical time working in the adult intensive care unit (ICU) at Bellevue Hospital. My academic focus remains on quality improvement and medical education. I serve as the Director of ICU Quality Improvement, overseeing various performance improvement projects, and as the Director of the Critical Care Consultation Rotation for medical residents and students. Additionally, I am an Assistant Program Director for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program, responsible for overseeing fellow quality improvement education. I am also a member of the Critical Care Medicine Board of Governance for the American Board of Internal Medicine, where I contribute to setting the standards required for board-certified critical care physicians.
Another area of interest for me is the use of digital and social media in medical education. I have held leadership roles in social media, both locally for the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, and nationally with the American Thoracic Society’s Section of Medical Education and the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Program Directors. My other clinical and academic interests include pulmonary embolism and cardiopulmonary arrest and resuscitation.
