Lerner Holistic Integrative Health Nursing Fellowship
NYU Langone’s Lerner Holistic Integrative Health Nursing Fellowship is a nine-month program designed to help qualified participants learn self-care and resiliency skills, as well as to elevate person-centered care and improve patient outcomes. Fellows will engage in a blend of live, virtual, and self-paced learning; immersive clinical experience; holistic skill development; mentorship, project development, and reflective practice.
Participants in the program are eligible to earn a total of 48 continuing nursing education credits, applicable towards The American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation’s Board Certification.

How to Apply
Applications for the Lerner Holistic Integrative Health Nursing Fellowship will open beginning August 20, 2024. We recommend that you preview the application form prior to submitting your application here.
Eligibility for this fellowship is based on the following criteria. Candidates must:
- be a licensed, registered nurse
- have a strong interest in holistic nursing and integrative health
- be a part- or full-time employee (NYU Langone employees)
- have a signed memorandum of understanding from your manager (NYU Langone employees) or a signed letter of support from your institutional mentor and manager (non–NYU Langone employees)
For NYU Langone employees, please note: If you are per diem, nursing leadership, or an APP, the fellowship does not provide paid, protected time during your normal working hours. You may still apply for the fellowship under one of these two conditions:
- Your manager approves your dedicated time during your normal working hours.
- The manager pays for your time from their own budget and/or you would like to complete the fellowship on your own time outside of your normal working hours.
Please note, you must still secure leadership approval for implementation of your project on your unit.
In addition to the application, all candidates must submit the following materials:
- resume or CV
- headshot
- short bio
- letter of recommendation from institutional mentor (non–NYU Langone candidates only)
- letter of support from nurse manager and mentor (non–NYU Langone candidates only)
- institutional memorandum of understanding (NYU Langone candidates only)
