Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health
I joined NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Institute for Excellence in Health Equity and Department of Population Health in Fall 2024. I was previously an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Senior Scientist at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Health Equity Research Lab, where I had been collaborating with clinicians and other researchers since 2015 when I began my NIMH-sponsored postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. My research combines mixed-methods, implementation science, pragmatic, and community participatory research methods to study mental health for historically underserved U.S. populations. I have received grants as Principal Investigator from NIMHD and Harvard Medical School to support my work using implementation science research methods and frameworks to improve equity and patient-centeredness in mental health care, including for patients from diverse racial/ethnic, language, and sexual orientation and gender identity backgrounds. I am also a 2023-2025 Implementation Research Institute (IRI) Fellow supported by NIMH.
