Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Medicine
Dr. Ann Garment is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine and has served as the Section Chief of General Internal and Hospital Medicine at Bellevue Hospital since 2018. She completed her undergraduate training in History of Science and Medicine at Yale University, received her medical degree from New York University Grossman School of Medicine, and completed her primary care residency at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell. She joined the NYU faculty at Bellevue in 2011 and has continued her clinical work in the Adult Primary Care Center. She has been the Medical Director of Bellevue's Primary Care Addiction Medicine Clinic since 2015.
Her areas of clinical interest include women's health, harm reduction, care for persons living with homelessness and addiction medicine. She spends much of her time devoted to recruiting and mentoring general internal medicine faculty members at Bellevue Hospital. Beyond NYU, she has worked in several roles for the American College of Physicians - most recently as the Chairwoman of the Scientific Planning Committee for the 2024 Annual Meeting.
