Summary

My research interests focus on international and domestic health policy and advocacy. I also hold a strong interest in medical education.

Internationally, I completed extensive fieldwork in Latin America, South America, and at World health Organization Headquarters in Geneva focused on health access and infectious disease response. Following the completion of my epidemiology masters in London I have been part of an international association of doctors through the World Health Organization studying infectious disease and specifically COVID-19 transmission.

Domestically, I have been active in a number of policy areas including gun violence research and LBGTQIA+ health and advocacy. I am part of a national group of doctors rethinking response to gun violence through hospital and community-based interventions in response to our nationwide epidemic. During residency I developed and implemented a LBGTQIA+ health curriculum and am passionate about LBGTQIA+ health and access.

As a faculty member at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, I look forward to combining clinical work with education of residents and medical students, specifically with respect to health policy and advocacy. I also look forward to continuing global and public health research though international and domestic organizations and creating opportunities for medical students and residents within these spheres.
