Research Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health
My primary research interests focus on developing statistical methodologies for high-throughput data, including sequencing data (genomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics, microbiome) as well as proteomics and metabolomics, with a focus on integrating these omics datasets. I am also involved in a wide range of biomedical projects, including clinical trials, study design, personalized nutrition, health disparities, health interventions, basic science, xenotransplantation, and epidemiological studies. As PI of a pilot study supported by the NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health (CSAAH, NIH-NIMHD U54MD000538-19), I developed a novel microbial causal mediation analytic tool to explore the role of the microbiome in health disparities.
