Assistant Curator, Medical Library
As a Data Services Librarian at NYU Health Sciences Library and a member of the Data Services Team, I teach a wide range of data-related courses to the NYU Langone Health community. In my role as an instructor for the Grossman School of Medicine’s Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, I teach Introduction to Programming with Python to Master’s and PhD students. I also teach a variety of technical and data courses at the Health Sciences Library, including Python programming, REDCap, clinical research data management, Git and GitHub, and data visualization.
My research interests focus on integrating effective data management practices into clinical data collection and promoting the use of version control systems within academic workflows. In collaboration with colleagues from both the library and the Department of Population Health, I co-developed JumpStart, a platform designed to help NYU Langone community members discover, share, and collaborate on code. I also coordinate the library's Data Day-to-Day classes, which provide ongoing data education and training.
In addition to these roles, I serve as a content expert for the Network of the National Library of Medicine’s National Center for Data Services (NCDS), contributing to national efforts to advance data education, including the NIH’s Data Management and Sharing Policy.
