Summary

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. My research focuses on designing and evaluating person-centered, preference-aligned models for prevention and care –  particularly in the areas of HIV, mental health, and non-communicable disease (NCDs) – to inform policy decision-making and resource allocation. Prior to my current position, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Africa Health Research Institute in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and additional training in mathematical modeling at NYU.

I currently lead a NIMH-funded K01 study in western Kenya evaluating the population-level impact of preference-aligned differentiated HIV service delivery models. I also serve as a co-Investigator on multiple NIH and Foundation-funded studies, including the Innovative Network on the Science and Practice of Implementation, Research, and Engagement Center (INSPIRE), where I coordinate cross-site preference research to inform HIV prevention and treatment services for adolescents and young adults. During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, I led modeling analyses in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to project health system needs, evaluate the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions, and inform resource allocation strategies.

Across all projects, my research is built on strong, sustained collaborations with community, academic, and government partners to advance data-driven, community-engaged programs that reflect the preferences and priorities of the populations at the center of the work.
