Summary

As the Research Impact Librarian at NYU Langone Health Sciences Library, I offer consultations, instruction, and expertise in bibliometrics, open access publishing, and scholarly communication. I maintain the Faculty Bibliography, NYU Health Sciences Library’s faculty publication database, and provide customized publication reporting and citation analysis to assist with departmental reports, funding applications, faculty reviews, and institutional reporting.

In my role, I work closely with faculty and researchers to deepen their understanding of research metrics. I help faculty and departments effectively communicate and enhance the visibility of their scholarly work by offering guidance on research metric assessment, interpretation, and research impact tracking.

My research interests focus on open access, open science, and data citation and reuse. I advocate for the ethical use of research metrics and open access publishing, and I am particularly interested in the representation of publication outputs from non-English language sources and the Global South.
