Assistant Curator, Medical Library
At the NYU Health Sciences Library, I help researchers align their data management and sharing practices with broader community standards, advancing scientific progress by enabling collaboration. I also provide guidance on repository selection and data acquisition for secondary analysis. As the Research Data and Metadata Management Librarian, I contribute my expertise to research and quality improvement initiatives that enhance the discoverability and accessibility of research data. Projects that I contribute to include the NYU Data Catalog, JumpStart, and the development of asynchronous learning materials on the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy.
My education and work experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and clinical research operations, which I leverage to understand and navigate challenges related to human subjects research. I am also interested in understanding how new and emerging technologies, such as generative AI, can be employed to improve workflows for research data management and curation. As a member of the Data Curation Network and Medical Library Association, I engage with information science professionals in other active research communities to share innovative and platform-agnostic approaches for improving data discovery.
