Assistant Professor, Department of Population Health
I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology within the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. My research interests include improving public health surveillance using novel data sources and harnessing electronic health records for epidemiologic studies. Recent projects include the Assessing the Burden of Diabetes by Type in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults (DiCAYA) Network, which focuses on modernizing diabetes surveillance efforts using electronic health record data, and an NIA-funded study exploring the impact of the COVID-19 healthcare shutdown on cardiovascular disease outcomes among older adults with multimorbidites.
I began my career as a CDC/CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow placed at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. I completed my DrPH in epidemiology at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and MPH at the Yale School of Public Health.
