My research focuses on developing minimally invasive methods such as intragastric balloons to treat obesity, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and complications of bariatric surgery. I also study the role of the gut microbiome in weight gain, liver disease and methods to modulate the microbiome to help treat obesity-related conditions.
