Community Building Queer Mentor Advising Program

Queer Mentor Advising Program

The Queer Mentor Advising Program (QMAP) is designed to connect medical students, house staff, and faculty as they navigate the education and training pathways towards academic medicine. QMAP aims to create a supportive space, build community, and foster mentorship for the larger LGBTQ+ community, and is open to all interested in LGBTQ+ issues at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and NYU Langone Health.

To get involved in QMAP, or if you have any questions, please contact Sarah Khalil, Program Manager, Engagement, Mentoring, and Professional Development, at Sarah.Khalil@NYULangone.org.

Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality

In addition to making connections at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, it is important for LGBTQ+ medical students and students interested in LGBTQ+ issues to get connected with LGBTQ+ healthcare professionals across the nation. Previously known as the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality is the world’s largest and oldest association of LGBTQ+ healthcare professionals, including physicians, residents, and medical students. Learn more about membership in GLMA.
