Sherry Mentor, MPHSherry Mentor, MPH is the Program Manager for the AHRQ-funded NYU Patient Imaging Quality Safety Laboratory (PIQS Lab). Sherry is responsible for managing the operational aspects of the project, including creating and maintaining study budgets, contracting, training new staff, and monitoring process outcomes, grant renewals, and progress reports. 

Most recently, Sherry was a Program Manager in the Department of Population Health, Division of Comparative Effectiveness and Decision Science, responsible for managing the Section’s portfolio of HIV studies. Before coming to Population Health, Sherry was a Research Assistant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She also worked as a Curriculum Design Specialist at the Bellevue Hospital Center Child Protection and Development Center. 

Sherry also has valuable extensive internship experience, the first of which was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center/Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Here, she recruited physicians and community-based organizations for participation in cancer survivorship study. Her second internship at UNAIDS, New York, allowed her to apply her fluency in the French language to translate case studies from French-speaking countries regarding HIV/AIDS education, prevention, and research on a national level.
