Developmental Genetics PhD Training Program Events
As a student in NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Developmental Genetics PhD Training Program, you participate in a wide variety of events throughout the year. In the Developmental Genetics Seminar Series and Journal Club, speakers are regularly invited to present their research. In the week prior to each seminar, speakers provide a few papers that serve to generate discussion among the students and faculty.
Additionally, weekly student research meetings are held within NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences and NYU’s Department of Biology. During the meetings, students present their research to faculty and peers, gaining valuable practice for future presentations to large groups of scientists.

Semiannually, all members of the Developmental Genetics PhD Training Program get together for a student research symposium where students and new faculty members present their work. Receptions following these symposia provide time for interaction with other students and faculty.
