Treat-to-Target of Endoscopic Remission in Patients with IBD in Symptomatic Remission
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness and safety of a strategy of switching to an alternativetargeted immunomodulator (TIM) therapy to treat to a target of endoscopic remission, versus continuing index TIMin patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) (Crohn’s disease [CD] or ulcerative colitis [UC]) in symptomaticremission with moderate to severe endoscopic inflammation despite optimization of index TIM in a real-worldsetting.The objectives of this study are:1. To compare the effectiveness of switching to an alternative TIM to treat to a target of endoscopic remissionvs. continuing index TIM in asymptomatic patients with IBD with ongoing endoscopic inflammation.2. To compare the burden and safety of switching to an alternative TIM to treat to a target of endoscopic remissionvs. continuing index therapy in asymptomatic patients with IBD with ongoing endoscopic inflammation.3. To identify heterogeneity of treatment effects, through preplanned subgroup analyses.
Treat-to-Target Serum Urate versus Treat-to-Avoid Symptoms in Gout: A Randomized Controlled Trial (TRUST trial)
The purpose of this research study is to compare two different treatment strategies and see if they may improve the signs and symptoms of gout. The strategies are called treat-to-target and treat-to-avoid-symptoms. Both strategies are commonly used to treat patients with gout, and you may be given allopurinol, febuxostat, colchicine, naproxen, and/or prednisone by your study doctor throughout your study participation. We also want to learn more about quality of life and how patients feel about their health and their ability to do the things they want to do.
