EMPEROR: A Multicenter Randomized Double-blind Sham-controlled Parallel Group Phase 3 Study Evaluating the Efficacy Safety and Tolerability of Zorevunersen (STK-001) in Patients with Dravet Syndrome
The purpose of the EMPEROR Study is to assess the investigational medicine, Zorevunersen, to see: whether it can reduce or prevent motor seizures when given in addition to standard anti-seizure medicines whether it can improve overall health condition and non-seizure symptoms, including behavior and cognition how safe it is and how well it is tolerated how it is processed by the body. Eligible patients will be randomly assigned to 1 of 2 groups in a 1:1 ratio (zorevunersen:sham). The patient’s total study duration is approximately 60 weeks consisting of a Baseline Period and a Treatment Period.
Employment Characteristics of Epilepsy Patients
The main objectives of the study are to characterize employment among individuals with a diagnosis of epilepsy, examining their employment and compensation characteristics as well as the real and perceived barriers to full workplace participation which may be directly or indirectly related to their seizures. This information may help patients, their caregivers, physicians, and policymakers to understand the barriers to workplace participation.
