THE ROLE OF THE MICROBIOME IN MONOZYGOTIC TWINS WITH PSORIASIS AND PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS
We propose a longitudinal study of monozygotic twins discordant for psoriatic disease. Subjects will be characterized with detailed clinical questionnaires in addition to blood, fecal, skin swab, skin biopsy (optional) and urine (optional) specimen collections. These will be used to perform microbiome analysis and explore markers of inflammation as well as immunologic parameters. Healthy and psoriasis (not psoriatic arthritis) twins will be followed for up to five years. Data and biospecimen collections will be repeated on an annual basis or earlier in the case of disease conversion.
The Role of Visit Audio Recordings in Triadic Dementia Care
Good communication is associated with improved health outcomes, yet it is unclear to what extent thisoccurs between patients with dementia, their care partners and healthcare providers during office visits. There are also not many ways to support communication during these visits. The objective of thisproject is to assess interpersonal communication between patients living with dementia, their carepartners, and doctors, and examine how this is related to health outcomes. We will use findings todesign a tool to help support better communication using visit audio recordings.

The use of cannabidiol (CBD) in pain reduction for knee osteoarthritis. A Double-Blind Randomized Control Study
This will be a multi-center, double-blinded randomized controlled study. The study is comparing pain, patient satisfaction, in two cohorts: patients with knee OA undergoing physiotherapy who receive CBD and a placebo group. Patients will be asked on treatment Day 1, 2, 7, and 14, 28, and 42 to rate their pain according to the VAS scale. Additionally, patient satisfaction will be measured.
