ADVANCED DIFFUSION IMAGING IN RENAL TISSUE: TECHNICAL OPTIMIZATION
The objective of this study is to optimize imaging protocols and analysis for advanced diffusion-weighted MRI of the kidney. We hypothesize that this optimization will produce a robust and reproducible workflow with minimal variance for application in future renal function clinical studies
Advanced Imaging Characteristics Following Nerve Repair in the Early and Midterm Postoperative Period Predictive of Functional Outcome
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in characterizing the healing process across a coaptation after nerve repair surgery and determine how imaging findings correlate to clinical outcome. This project would be a feasibility study where several patients will be recruited to receive an MRI and ultrasound at several predetermined time points after nerve repair surgery to allow for the characterization of imaging findings that are useful and predictive for evaluating the healing process. This information will result in improved patient education and expedited intervention based on prognosis, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.
