Mitral Valve Screening Survey (MVSS)
Numerous transcatheter mitral valve interventions have emerged as a treatment option for patients with mitral valve disease. Development of transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVr) and transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) continues to progress with ongoing rigorous clinical trials of several experimental devices. However, despite being referred for TMVI, most patients do not pass stringent screening criteria for these investigational devices and are not offered TMVI.In this prospective multicenter registry, baseline demographics, anatomical/imaging characteristics, and clinical outcomes of patients who fail screening for TMVI will be prospectively collected into a registry database.This study aims to examine the clinical profile/anatomical characteristics and natural history of patients who subsequently fail screening for TMVI.

Modeling of the micturition with computational fluid dynamics using video-urodynamics recordings
This is a prospective, observational study, in which we will collect the radiograph images, and the pressure and flow data obtained during video-urodynamics studies of up to 10 male patients who must undergo this examination for a urologic condition as deemed by their urologists.We will then use the anatomic data of the radiograph images and the pressure and flow rate values to model numerically the low urinary tract during the micturition and to assess if the shape of the low urinary tract change the flow at the end of the urethra.
Models of speech perception by users of auditory neural prostheses-Project 1
The first specific aim of the proposed research is to develop mathematical models of phoneme and word identification for individual CI users. To achieve this aim wewill refine our current mathematical models of speech perception by multichannel CI users, which are based on the CI users' discrimination along specified perceptual dimensions. These psychophysically-based models are explanatory: they do not simply attempt to predict overall scores on speech perception tests based on psychophysical tests, they also provide hypotheses about the mechanism CI users employ to encode and process the input auditorysignal to extract information relevant for identifying different speech sounds. Thus, these models can be used to predict differences across CI users and across stimuli.
Monitoring and Prediction of Treatment Response in Crohn s Disease with Dual-Energy CT Enterography
This will be a quantitative, prospective study. Patients with small bowel Crohn’s will be enrolled in the study. Patients will undergo an initial DECTE prior to starting a new therapy as is already performed by standard of care. Following implementation of medical therapy, patients will undergo a follow-up DECTE 4 to 8 months later as is performed by standard of care. Medical therapies are at the discretion of the gastroenterologist caring for the patient as per standard of care. The iodine density will be determined and 3D iodine density maps will be created for each patient at the time of both DECTE examinations. We will be required to record patient name, MRN, accession number of each CT, patient age, gender, and clinical data including the Crohn’s disease activity index (CDAI), which is a calculated score based on a combination of clinical and laboratory values that do not involve PHI. PHI (MRN, accession number, name, dates of scans) will be used to identify patients for inclusion in the study and for comparison with follow-up imaging. All PHI will be removed at the earliest opportunity. The age, gender and initial clinical information will be recorded while first identifying patients. Clinical information will also be recorded at the time of follow-up CT. Following the 2nd DECTE, all PHI including MRN and accession number will be discarded. Each patient will be assigned a random identification number for anonymous image review. No link to PHI will be maintained.
