Surgical Technology Program

Our training program prepares you for a rewarding career as a surgical technologist.

The NYU Langone Health Surgical Technology Program prepares qualified students to be surgical technologists. A surgical technologist is an integral member of the surgical team who works closely with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and registered nurse, delivering direct patient care before, during, and after surgery.

The certified surgical technologist can seek employment in the operating room, delivery room, cardiac catheterization lab, or surgery center; in central service; or as a private scrub for a surgeon.
