Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Multicultural Aging & Memory Assessment Program
The Multicultural Aging and Memory Assessment Program at NYU Langone’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center’s comprises faculty and staff who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Our team of bilingual clinicians and coordinators ensures that all activities, including community education, caregiver counseling, diagnostic services, and access to research opportunities, are available to ethnically diverse patient populations and conducted in a culturally sensitive manner.
Our team works closely with the Clinical Core and Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core to coordinate referrals to our studies and schedule patient visits. All memory tests, medical exams, clinical interviews, and family meetings can be conducted in Spanish or English, or with the assistance of a translator as needed. Family and caregiver counseling is also available in both English and Spanish.
