Ergonomics & Biomechanics PhD Admissions

We are currently not accepting applications to our PhD in Ergonomics and Biomechanics program until further notice, but invite you to learn more about our program. Please check back for updates.

Applicants of the PhD in Ergonomics and Biomechanics must have a degree in one of the natural or physical sciences, health sciences, or engineering with a cumulative average of B (3.0) or higher. You must have successfully completed basic undergraduate courses in musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology, physics, and calculus.

Your application must include the following information:

  • Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test scores
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test scores, for applicants who are not native English speakers
  • your CV, with clear information regarding professional or academic experience
  • a statement of purpose
  • three letters of recommendation

A personal interview, if requested by the admissions committee, may also be required. Applications are accepted on an open basis for admission for the fall semester only. You apply through the Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS) at NYU.
