Postgraduate Year Two Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn
NYU Langone Health’s postgraduate year 2 (PGY-2) Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency program at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn offers a one-year program designed to provide residents with an intensive, individualized experience in the dynamic setting of an ACS-verified Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. This postgraduate program equips residents with the clinical expertise necessary to manage a wide range of emergent conditions and optimize pharmacotherapy for acutely ill and injured patients.
Core rotations across high-acuity emergency care areas—including adult, pediatric, and trauma services—enable residents to build advanced clinical decision-making skills in fast-paced environments. Longitudinal experiences such as participation in code response teams, trauma activations, and emergency department quality improvement initiatives further enhance clinical development.
Residents also complete a research project and engage in teaching, protocol development, and interdisciplinary training, with opportunities to tailor elective experiences to their professional interests. Our program prepares graduates to become confident, adaptable emergency medicine practitioners capable of practicing in any high-acuity setting.
