Research Associate Professor, Department of Radiology
I am an Associate Professor and the Director of Radiochemistry at NYU Langone Grossman School of Medicine. I am a radiochemist with experience in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, radiopharmaceuticals, and organometallic catalysis.
The Radiochemistry Group at NYU Langone is a c-GMP facility that produces radiotracers used for research applications. My team’s research focuses on the synthesis and development of PET imaging agents, and specializes in the production of carbon-11, fluorine-18, and gallium-68 radiotracers for both clinical and preclinical research applications.
Our team supports 14-NIH funded grants as well as providing radiotracers to both academic and external pharmaceutical companies. The facility can produce, develop and validate novel and existing carbon-11, fluorine-18 and gallium-68 radiotracers. The Radiochemistry Team is able to deliver clinical research doses to the MR-PET system located within the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CBI), ship radiotracers to users outside of the NYU Langone network, or provide radiotracers to the µ-PET scanner located in the Preclinical Imaging Core (PCI).
