Teaching is an important element of fellowship training, essential to cultivating successful academic ID specialists. The NYU ID Fellowship Program provides opportunities for teaching medical students through the C21 Microbial Pathogenesis Pillar, which integrates clinical and basic science training throughout the four years of medical school; the Global Health Selective; and Microbiology and Host Defense Course seminars. Fellows are also involved in providing didactics to the medical house staff.
