ID Fellowship Application

Application to the Fellowship Training Program in Infectious Diseases at NYU is through the ERAS website at:

The elements of the application that we require through ERAS are:

  • Common Application Form
  • Personal Goals Statement, emphasizing your professional goals in the field of infectious diseases, rather than your reasons for choosing infectious diseases as a subspecialty
  • Specification of which track (clinician, basic investigator, or clinical investigator) to which you are applying
  • 3 letters of reference, including one from the Program Director or Department Chair of your present program
  • USMLE transcript

Applications to the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program are accepted exclusively through ERAS. Applicants may start applying July 15, 2017 and the deadline for applications will be August 31st, 2017.

Q: When do you interview fellowship applicants?
A: We interview during the month of September through the beginning of October. The interview dates will be offered to you by invitation.

Q: How many positions do you have available?
A: We have 3-4 positions per year.

Q: Do you sponsor visas?
A: NYU Langone does not offer H-1B sponsorship for house staff, residents, or fellows. J-1 sponsorship is available through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
