Employee Spotlight

Each month we’ll introduce you to an exemplary member of our team of Radiology professionals who are dedicated to providing you with the finest healthcare available.

Name: Duval Bodden

I started working at NYU in the Department of Radiology Tisch hospital file room in 1989. Next, I took a position at the NYU Diagnostic Imaging Cancer Center as a Project Assistant. In this new role I learned many new skills such as scheduling, obtaining authorization for PET/CT exams, NOPR registry, processing medical records, front desk coverage, MRI clerical support, processing outside films for consultation, and coordinating the scheduling of Bellevue patients for MRI guided biopsies.

One thing that I remember well is when Dr. Macari, a true gentlemen and great physician, came to the Cancer Center and asked if I could begin uploading outside studies. Little did we know that it would morph into a huge project that eventually required its own system and support staff to meet the increasing demand. I am proud to have been part of its implementation.

I am currently a medical secretary, supporting department staff for Diagnostic Imaging and Breast Imaging, while coordinating reviews of outside studies, scheduling MRI research patients, and providing front desk coverage for both departments.

I have been at NYU for 26 years and love the work that I do.
