The Belasco Lab at NYU Langone comprises a collaborative team of investigators, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.

Joel G. Belasco, PhD

Dr. Belasco received his PhD in chemistry from Harvard University in 1980. After a year of postdoctoral studies in the Department of Chemistry at Harvard, he moved to the Department of Genetics at Stanford University to complete his postdoctoral training. Before joining NYU Langone in 1996, Dr. Belasco was an assistant professor and then an associate professor in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Harvard Medical School.
