Peter S. Liang, MD, MPH

Dr. Liang is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at NYU Langone and a staff physician at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System Manhattan Campus. He conducts health services, epidemiology, and clinical research, with a primary focus on colorectal cancer prevention. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife and cat, play soccer, travel, and try new foods. He is extremely proud to be working with this smart and energetic group!

Stephanie Yakoubovitch

Stephanie is a first-year medical student at SUNY Downstate and hopes to pursue gastroenterology as a future specialty. She is from Brooklyn and studied history and biochemistry at Hunter College. In her free time, she enjoys martial arts, traveling, and exploring New York City.

Anika Zaman

Anika graduated from Hunter College with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. She aims to earn her MPH while she continues working part-time as a research coordinator. Her passions include exploring new places, trying new foods, and reading as many books as possible. She eventually hopes to pursue a career in medicine as well, so she can be a pediatric surgeon.

Anne Kaminski

Sanya Anand

Sanya is a third-year medical student living in New York City. She has been involved in several cancer research projects and is excited to be a part of this team. In her free time Sanya enjoys exploring the city and its many restaurants, listening to jazz, and staying active with exercise.

Chino Aneke-Nash, MD, PhD

Chino is a first-year internal medicine resident in the clinical-investigator track at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She received her MD and PhD at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a BS in biology at Spelman College. Her research interests include colorectal cancer screening and prevention in high-risk populations. Chino's outside interests include music, traveling, and spending time with her two-year-old toddler and husband.

Steven Chang, MD

Steven is a first-year internal medicine resident at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and BS in biological engineering at MIT. Steven’s interests in gastroenterology include colorectal cancer screening and surveillance as well as advanced endoscopy. Outside of medicine, Steven enjoys cooking up new recipes at home, travelling, and exploring different parts of New York City.

David Dornblaser, MD

David is a second-year internal medicine resident at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, his MSc in human nutrition at Columbia University, and his BA in neuroscience at Harvard College. David’s interests in gastroenterology include colorectal cancer screening, advanced endoscopic techniques, and hepatobiliary diseases. Outside of medicine, David enjoys running, swimming, and staying active while enjoying the culinary offerings of New York City.

Ofer Fass, MD

Ofer is a second-year internal medicine resident in the clinical investigator track at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD at Harvard Medical School and his BS in human physiology and molecular and cellular biology at the University of Arizona. Ofer’s interests in gastroenterology include colorectal cancer screening and surveillance, cancer epidemiology, and gastrointestinal motility. Outside of medicine, Ofer enjoys travelling, eating his way through New York, and listening to podcasts.

Valerie Gausman, MD

Valerie is a third-year internal medicine resident in the clinical-investigator track at NYU Grossman School of Medicine currently applying for gastroenterology fellowship. She received her MD at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and BA in biology at Rutgers University. Valerie's research interests center on colorectal and pancreatic cancer screening, prevention, and outcomes. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and miniature schnauzer: hiking, swimming, and traveling.

Sandy Ng, MD

Sandy grew up in New York and New Jersey. She went to NYU for college and NYU Grossman School of Medicine for medical school and is now here for her internal medicine residency. She likes traveling to other countries and kickboxing.

Katherine Ni

Katie is a first-year internal medicine resident at Mount Sinai Hospital. She received her MD at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a BS in economics at Duke University. Her research interests in gastroenterology include colorectal screening and prevention. In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, photography, and watching movies with her cat.

Nicolas Patel, MD

Nicolas is a third-year internal medicine resident at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and double majored in cell biology and neuroscience and psychology at Rutgers University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to podcasts, and watching sports.

Jillian Pecoriello

Jillian is currently a second-year medical student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Jillian started working with Dr. Liang and his team over the summer and is excited to continue learning and exploring her interests in gastroenterology. In her free time, Jillian enjoys running along the East River and trying new restaurants in New York City.

Chethan Ramprasad, MD

Chethan is a second-year internal medicine resident in the clinical investigator track at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD at the University of Miami School of Medicine and his BA in psychology and global health technologies at Rice University. Chethan's interests in gastroenterology include colorectal cancer screening, motility, familial dysautonomia, and new technologies. Outside of medicine, Chethan enjoys eating ice cream, playing volleyball, and participating in triathlons.

Neelesh Rastogi, MD

Neelesh is a first-year gastroenterology fellow at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, St. Luke’s, and West hospitals. He recently completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and his BA in biology and economics at Northwestern University. Neelesh’s research interests include colorectal cancer screening and quality-improvement/value-based medicine. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Aditya Sreenivasan, MD

Aditya is a third-year resident in internal medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He received his MD at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and his BA in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University. His interests in gastroenterology include colorectal cancer screening and quality improvement, specifically developing quality metrics that can be used to standardize endoscopic training among gastroenterology fellows. In his spare time, Aditya enjoys playing basketball on the NYU internal medicine team and trying new restaurants with his wife.

Garrett Yoon

Garrett is a second-year medical student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is from Los Angeles, California, and earned a BS in biological engineering at Cornell University. In his free time, he enjoys watching baseball, baking, and playing the piano.
